Are you turning your basement into a rental apartment? Ensure your new space meets the Ontario Building Code and order an egress window from Bavarian Windows.
The Ontario Building Code requires that every bedroom in a suite includes a window that can easily opened from the inside and provides an open space greater than 0.35 m2, so that the occupants can escape in case of a fire or other emergency. If you are renovating a basement suite to include a bedroom, there are further requirements for your egress windows.
Our egress windows are ready-made, affordable, and easy-to-purchase. They have been specifically designed by Bavarian Windows to meet the required Ontario Building Codes in Waterloo and Guelph — making it simple for homeowners to complete their renovation projects.

FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
Our egress windows are available in three sizing options:
- 36″ x 24″ (3.8 ft2 clear opening)
- 41½” x 21½” (3.83 ft2 clear opening)
- Custom Sizing
Basic sizes are offered only in white. Further colour options are available with custom windows, including pebble, black, and dark brown.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
Standard sizes (36″ x 24″ and 41½” x 21½”) will be ready to pick up two days from order date.
After placing your order, your egress window will be available for pick-up at the Bavarian Windows showroom in Kitchener.
