This material is much stronger than traditional PVC because it is made with a solid core compared to the hollow chamber construction used in tradition PVC windows. Our windows last longer and will be more durable over time.
Types of Awning Windows in Canada
Awning windows typically have a sash across the top of the window and open outward like an “awning”. It is how the windows got their name. The most popular type of awning window is a horizontal awning window. This is where the width of the window is wider than the height. However, you can also get vertical awning windows. These open the same way as their horizontal counterparts but the height of the window is taller than the width.
How to Operate an Awning Window
Awning windows are hinged at the top and swing outward for good ventilation while keeping wind and rain out. There is a lock on both sides of the window. Flip the locks up to disengage them from the sash and then lift the crank on the bottom of the window and rotate it in a clockwise fashion to open the window. The more you rotate it, the more air will flow into your home or business.
